SUPERIOR CORROSION RESISTANCE, EXCELLENT ADHESION AND FLEXIBILITY
Aluminum-zinc coated steel is a marvel of metallurgical innovation, featuring an aluminium-zinc alloy structure that includes aluminum, zinc, and silicon. This exceptional blend is solidified at the high temperature of 600ºC, forming a robust composite of aluminum, iron, silicon, and zinc. The outcome is a dense quaternary crystal alloy that boasts remarkable qualities: it offers formidable corrosion resistance, three times that of standard pure zinc-coated steel, with visually striking zinc spangles on its surface. The 55% aluminum-zinc composition results in a density that is smaller than zinc alone, granting the coated steel a 3% larger surface area compared to galvanized steel at the same weight and coating thickness, thus delivering significant economic benefits.

1. High Corrosion Resistance
The exceptional corrosion resistance of Al-Zn steel stems from the synergistic protective capabilities of aluminum's passivation layer and zinc's sacrificial properties. When zinc acts as sacrificial protection on exposed edges, scratches, and abrasions, aluminum contributes by forming an insoluble oxide barrier. Extensive long-term atmospheric exposure tests in diverse environments, from rural to industrial zones and coastal to severe marine conditions, have demonstrated that Al-Zn coatings, at equivalent thickness, offer corrosion resistance 2-6 times greater than that of traditional galvanizing, with outstanding barrier protection.

2. Heat Resistant

The heat resistance of Al-Zn steel surpasses that of galvanized steel, maintaining integrity in environments up to 315°C without discoloration or contamination. In contrast, galvanized steel is unsuitable for temperatures above 230°C. Al-Zn steel's high reflectivity acts as a formidable barrier against high-temperature oxidation, making it ideal for heat-intensive applications.

3. Formability
Al-Zn steel demonstrates enhanced hardness over galvanized coatings and ensures superior adhesion to base steel, maintaining equivalent formability to galvanized steel. It meets the specifications for the minimum bending radius required for applications such as molding, stamping, and deep drawing, effectively accommodating a wide array of industrial needs.
