Aluminum-zinc coated steel represents a marvel of metallurgical engineering, crafted from an innovative blend of aluminum, zinc, and silicon. This alloy structure undergoes solidification at an impressive 600ºC, giving rise to a robust composite of aluminum, iron, silicon, and zinc that forms tightly-knit quaternary crystals. This unique composition endows it with remarkable features: a formidable corrosion resistance, boasting durability threefold that of pure zinc-coated steel, adorned with distinctive zinc spangles. With a density of 55% Al-Zn, it is more compact than zinc, allowing aluminum-zinc coated steel to extend over 3% more area than traditional galvanized steel at the same weight and thickness.
